Ruby thought over the day, days, maybe weeks, she’d been in the hotel. All of time seemed to blur together in a jumbled mess of being everywhere and nowhere all at once. She shook it off and decided maybe getting a drink would calm her nerves. Her small frame took two steps at a time on her way down, hoping no one would find her in the stairwell.

Finally she spotted the bar and an empty stool, she quietly strode in and sat down, she sank forward against the bar and grabbed a beer. She didn’t see a bartender around and figured it’d be someone who didn’t want to see her anyway.

There’s got to be some connection!” Now was the time to start questioning everything. These supposedly human visitors, people who he had never met before, something had to be up.
